Maleny is a small interior design studio creating residential, commercial and hospitality spaces with a focus on how they feel to live and work in. Our approach is practical, collaborative and grounded in the belief that good design should make everyday life easier, more enjoyable and more connected to its surroundings. We work closely with our clients from the earliest ideas through to the final details, taking the time to understand what each project needs before deciding how it should look. Maleny is a small interior design studio working across residential, commercial and hospitality projects. We take a collaborative approach, creating spaces that are thoughtful, functional and grounded in how they’re actually used.
With the direction agreed, we move into the design phase. Depending on your chosen service, this may include site measurements, space planning, concept boards, finishes and material selections, furniture and lighting sourcing, joinery design, procurement, project coordination and final styling.
Following our consultation, we’ll prepare a tailored proposal outlining the recommended scope of work, inclusions, fees and expected timeline. Once everything looks good and you’re ready to proceed, your project is officially booked in.
This is where we get into the detail. During your consultation, we’ll talk through your home, your ideas, how you want the space to feel and what needs to work better day to day. We’ll also discuss your priorities, budget, timeline and any practical considerations that will shape the project.
If our work feels like the right fit, the first step is to get in touch. We’ll organise a complimentary 20-minute discovery call to hear a little about your project, answer any initial questions and make sure we’re a good match before moving forward.
A considered process designed to make your project feel clear, collaborative and well managed from the very beginning.
No two projects should feel the same. Each interior is shaped around its people, place and purpose.
Every decision has a reason behind it, from the overall layout through to the smallest material detail.
We work closely with our clients, consultants and trades throughout every stage of a project.
